Good Response to Ferry Consultation Day
The Scottish Government consultation team for the long term future for ferry services in Scotland arrived in Barra on Monday, having had a taste of our winter service when our Sunday night sailing from Oban was cancelled. This consultation aims to develop a long term strategy for lifeline ferry services, look at the current lifeline ferry services and identify policies to deliver the long term strategy, including the planned investment framework. The meeting was attended by senior civil servants, Cal Mac officials, Professor Alf Baird of Napier University and consultants.
