The Old Croft house
is set in the heart of the village of Bruernish, on the north side of
the island. This original Black House style cottage is situated within
15 yards from the sea and boasts stunning views out over the Minch and
some of the neighbouring islands. Whether you indulge yourself with a
day of exploring the renowned beaches, wildlife, birds and flowers or
choose to relax in total piece and tranquillity, this is just the place
for you.
The Old Croft House is 5 miles from the Barra airport
and the Sound of Barra ferry. It is 8 miles from Castlebay, which is the
island's main town and ferry port (for Oban). The cottage is also near
the island bus route. |

The accommodation sleeps 4 - 6 and comprises:

Weekly tariff: £350.
A non refundable deposit of £100 payable at time of
booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before arrival.
Arrival & Departure:
Arrival after 3pm and vacation of premises is
required by 11am. Rentals are weekly and run from Saturday to Saturday. |

Directions:
From Castlebay, drive (or take the bus) 8
miles north along the main road on Barra's eastern coast. Once you've
passed Loch na h-Obe drive up the hill and take the first road right
signposted Bogach/ Bruairnis. Then drive straight ahead for another 800
yards, past the radio mast and the red phone box and you have reached
Lower Bruernish. The Old Croft House is the first house on the right.
From the Ardmhor ferry, turn left at the
Ardmhor junction and follow the road to Northbay, turn left, past the
Heathbank Hotel on the right, turn left again and follow the road
signposted Bogach/ Bruairnis. Drive straight ahead for about 800 yards
past the red phone box. The Old Croft House is the first house on the
right. |
