The Barra and Uist Swimming Gala

The Barra & Uist Swimming Gala took place early (very early for most of the secondaries) on Saturday morning. Delighted to see all the swimmers at that early hour, we were even more pleased to see a great competition unfolding. After a number of really close races and some great swims in the individual events it was left to the relays before the results really went Barra’s way.
 
The final results revealed a close finish but with Barra winning overall. A brilliant team effort. Well done to everyone who took part.
 
Thanks to the pool and PE staff for organising the gala and to all the parents who came to support our team. Special thanks to the mums who gave us all a cup of tea at the end – really welcome thank you
