Rock Climbing & Abseiling

The Hebrides have some of the best and oldest rock formations in the world for rock cimbing and abseiling. Witness and conqour the stunning  sea stacks that surround nearby Mingulay and Pabbay or go further afield to Uist, Lewis & Harris to witness other beuitiful and challenging rock formations and crags just waiting for you. 

Heaval Race 2009

A traditional Hill Race taking place on Barra for at least the last 40 years. The race starts and finishes in Castlebay Square. Those taking part run to the top of Heaval (383m) and back by whichever route they think is best. There is Live music in the square both before and after the race and prizes are given at the Fisherman’s Dance the following evening.
