Bus Services on Barra
There are three bus routes on barra. The W32 service covers the two routes from Castlebay via East & West sides of the island with both routes extending to the north taking in Northbay, Traigh Mhor Airport, Ardmhor slipway & Eoligarry - either via Brevig & the east coast, or via Borve & the West Coast.
Service W33 covers the Castlebay to Vatersay service, visiting remote beaches at Vatersay by travelling through some very ruggeed and beauitiful landscapes. Bus fares are inexpensive & day returns offer a discount. Some services operate to meet flights to/from Glasgow & Benbecula. The timetables are complicated by the fact that the flight times are dependent on the tide at Traigh Mhor. Please see the following links for the current timetables:
