Old Croft House

Old Croft House
Bruernish Isle of Barra
This is a traditional croft house with thick stone walls and rounded corners. Located overlooking the shore on the East side of the island, the croft house offers stunning views over the bay to the uninhabited islands to the North and East of Barra.  The area is a haven for bird life, with regular sighting ravens, golden eagles and occasional glimpses of sea eagles around Bruernish Hill.  The old Croft House is situated within 10 metres of the shore where seals can be seen regularly and otters can be glimpsed swimming across the bay below the house.
