Our two spacious self-catering cottages are stunningly situated in their own grounds, perched on the edge of the sea, near to the Isle of Barra Beach Hotel.   They are in one of the most idyllic locations in Scotland, providing incredible sea views from all aspects; the sunsets over the ocean are spectacular!   They face South West, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, with direct access to the adjacent wide, white sands of Halaman Bay and a secluded rocky cove.

 

 

The cottages are beautifully furnished and carpeted, and are fully equipped with satellite television, DVD player and CD player/ radio.     The majority of the accommodation is on the ground floor, with a large main bedroom occupying the whole of the top storey.

 

The fitted kitchen has a full electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine, larder refrigerator and freezer.

 

Each cottage sleeps six, having one twin and two double bedrooms.  The large double bedroom is up the stairs leading from the spacious open plan sitting/ dining room, which also has a patio door to the ocean side.

 

 

 

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet, hand washbasin with light and shaver socket above, and heated towel rail.

 

In the hall there is a double-door cupboard with storage space for coats and shoes, and a large airing cupboard.

 

 

 

 

 

A travel cot and high chair are available.

All electric, bed linen and towels are included.

The cottages are situated in natural machair walled grounds leading down to the sea. Well-behaved pets are welcome - the beach is ideal for them!
Parking for 3/4 cars in the grounds of the cottages.

This ninety-page book is a personal selection

 of the many photographs taken of Barra and Vatersay

over the past thirteen years by  Dr Peter Worthingon. 

  A map in Gaelic and English has been included

to show the various places featured in the photographs.

 Tangasdale Strand-Häuschen ist eine geräumige Selbst-lebesmittelanschaffung Maßeinheit, die nahe zur Insel des Barra Hotels den Atlantik übersehend aufgestellt wird. Es gibt Zugang zur breiten, weißen sandigen Bucht und zu 2 felsigen Coves. Das Häuschen ist schön versorgt und mit Fernsehen, DVD Spieler, CD-Spieler, Spülmaschine, Unterlegscheibe/Trockner, Kühlraum und Gefriermaschine vollausgebaut. Es schläft 6 2 doppelt und Doppelschlafzimmer 1 habend. Alle Tücher und Leinen werden zur Verfügung gestellt.
