Double room, TV, private bathroom, cot & high chair.

Welcome
David and Jeanne would like to welcome you to Brevig Bay B&B, two miles from Castlebay on the east side of Barra, where we can see the ferry nearing the island from Oban.  Behind us rise Heaval, Barra’s highest summit, and its nearer neighbour Heartaval.
There is plenty of public parking space, either in front of the house or in the parking area opposite, overlooking the bay.

Accommodation
Our spacious Scandinavian-style timber house has a large double B & B room with private shower room adjacent. We can provide a cot and high chair. The room is newly carpeted and furnished and has a modern television. Armchairs are provided for your comfort and a table where you can write your postcards.  Internet access is also available from your lap-top, but please be aware that your mobile phone will not pick up a signal here.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served in our large sitting-room with its view of both the bay and our pleasant garden. We make our own bread and also have a wide selection of home-made jams, marmalades and chutneys.  Eggs for your breakfast are free-range and are sourced locally when available. We are happy to serve a continental breakfast if you are leaving on a 7am ferry, with a selection of croissants and pastries.

Situation
Brevig is a quiet village lying along the sea-front.  Seals, otters and dolphins may be spotted if you walk down the village road.  Buzzards wheel across Mass Leanish, and the Rubha Mòr offers heather walks where you may hear the stonechat or wheatear.

History/Local Information
David and Jeanne will be happy to chat to you about what Barra offers, such as our beach airport (right) or the castle in the bay.  Bus and ferry timetables are available.

Rates and Booking
We ask £30 per person per night (no single person surcharge), payment by cheque or in cash, please.
Our B&B is non-smoking and no pets.
